Yes. UPCOT supports IMS Common Cartridge import, which is the universal export format used by Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and D2L Brightspace. Export your course from your institution's LMS, upload the .imscc file to UPCOT, and your modules, assignments, quizzes, and content will be mapped into UPCOT's curriculum structure. You keep what you built.
Absolutely. UPCOT's gradebook supports weighted categories, letter-grade scales (customizable per course), GPA calculations, incomplete/withdrawal marks, curved grading, and grade export. It was designed by educators who were tired of consumer-grade "pass/fail" toggles. You can run a 400-level seminar with the same rigor you'd expect from a university registrar system.
Yes. UPCOT serves both independent educators and full institutions. If your department wants to adopt UPCOT, they can create an institutional account with multi-instructor support, shared course catalogs, and centralized administration. Your individual courses remain yours — you can teach independently and within an institution simultaneously.
UPCOT is designed with FERPA awareness at its core. Student education records are encrypted at rest, access is role-gated, and audit logs track every data access event. We provide a Data Processing Agreement for institutional accounts and never sell student data. Our privacy architecture was built to meet the expectations of educators who take student privacy seriously.
UPCOT issues verifiable digital credentials that follow the Open Badges 3.0 standard. While accreditation is granted by accrediting bodies (not platforms), UPCOT gives you the documentation infrastructure — syllabi, learning outcomes, assessment rubrics, seat-time tracking, and credential verification — that accreditation reviewers look for. Several independent educators on UPCOT are pursuing programmatic accreditation with their courses.
